It began with a vision. Executive Director and Chief Editor Kenji Taguma asked Monks Media Works to produce the special broadcast of the A Virtual Remembrance - 75th Anniversary of Hiroshima / Nagasaki Bombings. Over two weeks, a team of SF Japantown community, clergy and Monks Media Staff under the direction of Kenji Taguma scheduled pre-recorded videos, created the program schedule and edited interviews of hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors) for broadcast on August 9, 2020. A virtual remembrance to be proud of and documented during the COVID pandemic.

 

Pulling it together.

Results are born out of ideas. The small but mighty Media Monks Team pulled off the live stream with gratitude.
